Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud-based CI/CD platforms for embedded software development. You will enable automated builds, headless test execution, and virtualization within modern cloud environments.

Responsibilities include maintaining scalable pipelines, collaborating with development, test, IT operations, and cybersecurity teams, and driving automation improvements across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 5–7+ years in software tools, platform, or infrastructure development.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based apps.
• Hands-on with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure or AWS.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and at least one of C/C++/Java.
• Solid understanding of embedded software tools and build workflows.
• Familiarity with test automation for virtual and hardware-in-the-loop.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software production.
• Architect and operate cloud-based platforms hosting build, test, and virtualization capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation best practices.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, security of pipelines and platforms.
• Integrate pipelines with physical and virtual test environments.
• Proactively monitor and improve pipeline performance and software quality.
