Job summary

Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to support mission-critical programs in Herndon and Springfield, VA. You will design, implement, and maintain secure cloud-native infrastructure, focusing on scalable, resilient systems and secure deployments.

In this role, you will lead infrastructure initiatives, mentor engineers, and contribute to innovative cloud-native solutions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Five or more years of professional software engineering experience with a DevOps focus.
• Five or more years of experience developing Bash and Python scripts.
• Five or more years of experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Five or more years of experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture.
• Three or more years of experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, SageMaker, RDS, DynamoDB.
• Three or more years of experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Three or more years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon ECS.
• Three or more years of experience IAM policies, security groups, and network security.
• Three or more years supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation.
• Proven experience implementing NIST 800-53 controls and FedRAMP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Architect secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions across AWS environments.
• Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for complex microservices architectures.
• Develop and maintain full-stack applications while ensuring reliability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions for production environments.
• Design and implement security-first infrastructure supporting compliance and mission requirements.
• Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon ECS.
• Implement cloud security controls, secrets management, and security automation solutions.
• Support Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve infrastructure reliability and deployment automation.
• Mentor team members on DevOps best practices and cloud-native technologies.
