Job summary

Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This role supports the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of backend software solutions.

You will design and implement scalable services using Java, C++, and Python, work with PostgreSQL, and apply AWS and DevOps practices. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and rigorous reviews are essential to deliver

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Twenty (20) years of software engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Git.
• Experience with Java, C++, and/or Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Utilize Jira and Confluence.
• Develop software using Java, C++, and/or Python.
• Work with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
