Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain infrastructure as code, CI/CD patterns, and containerized product applications. You will provide hands-on leadership for internal systems and collaborate across engineering teams.

Eligible candidates must work in the United States and possess the ability to work in a hybrid model in cities like Chicago. The role emphasizes AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and scalable cloud architectures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience in DevOps, software engineering or related roles.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and understand networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure-as-code projects and design APIs for reliable cloud deployments.
• Implement abstractions to simplify cloud providers and internal EWS infrastructure.
• Ensure usability of systems for engineers at scale.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure across multiple stack layers with multiple teams.
• Design cloud infrastructure for robustness, security, and observability.
• Expertise with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AWS services and Kubernetes-based systems.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes, TKGi, EKS, ECS.
• Build and scale Workflow pipelines and data center operations.
• Proficiency with DNS, HTTP, TLS, load-balancing, Linux, and Docker.
