Job summary

Leidos is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Chantilly, VA for a 200+ FTE program delivering modern ICAM solutions. You will help build scalable cloud-enabled systems and participate in the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and design to deployment and testing.

Responsibilities include automating workflows with GitHub and Jenkins, scripting with Unix bash, and coordinating with engineers and product owners to align user stories with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• BS degree with 12+ years of relevant experience; more accepted.
• Experience delivering DevOps within the SDLC; CI/CD practices.
• Experience with testing tools such as J-Meter.
• Cloud development on AWS, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud or Azure.
• Experience with cloud data services (e.g., S3, OpenSearch).
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug automation solutions for development, test and production environments.
• Break down high-level requirements into executable tasks for implementation.
• Recommend process, program and automation improvements for the project.
• Develop, prototype and deploy Cloud solutions leveraging infrastructure services.
• Coordinate with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters for user story alignment.
• Analyze performance and end-to-end testing to meet customer mission needs.
• Use DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and Unix scripting to deliver artifacts.
