Job summary

Leidos is seeking a DevOps Engineer on a large ICAM program to build and deploy modern identity access management solutions. You will leverage cloud platforms and DevOps tools to design, implement, and automate across development, test, and production environments.

You will work with senior engineers and scrum teams to break down work, estimate scope, and deliver end-to-end capabilities. A BS degree and 12+ years of relevant experience are required, with strong communication and independence key

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• BS degree plus 12+ years of relevant experience; degree substitutions allowed.
• Experience delivering lifecycle DevOps with CI/CD practices.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Experience with Commercial Cloud Platforms (AWS, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience with cloud data services (S3, OpenSearch, EFS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Git and version control.
• Familiar with issue tracking systems.
• Proficient in Agile/scrum environments and DevOps practices.
• Ability to work independently to solve complex problems.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement.
• Solve higher level and larger scope technical problems.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug automation for development, test, and production environments.
• Decompose high level requirements into actionable tasks.
• Recommend processes, programs, and automation improvements.
• Develop, prototype, and deploy solutions in Cloud environments.
• Coordinate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to align User Stories.
• Analyze infrastructure needs driven by developed software and coordinate accordingly.
• Use GitHub, Jenkins, and Unix bash scripting in daily work.
• Document deployment of build artifacts across environments.
• Communicate project data to teammates and maintain team cohesion.
• Use JIRA and Confluence to track activities and document procedures.
• Apply best practices and SOPs.
• Create innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
