Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Sr DevOps Engineer in Irving, TX to manage cloud infrastructure on GCP, collaborate with developers to automate testing, releases, and deployments. You will design scalable, secure, and highly available solutions and mentor junior engineers.

You will automate infrastructure with IaC tools like Terraform/Ansible, implement CI/CD pipelines, and work with security teams to ensure compliance. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related field.
• Proficient in multiple programming languages and tools.
• Strong Google Cloud Platform experience and troubleshooting skills.
• IaC experience with Terraform/Ansible or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Solid networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing).
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration abilities.
• 5+ years in DevOps or infrastructure management.
• GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer cert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud infra on GCP for scalable, secure, highly available workloads.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
• Automate deployment and management using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize testing, release, and deployment processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system reliability and cost efficiency.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and participate in on-call rotations.
• Ensure security and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
