Job summary

SamCart is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, focusing on reliability, security, and scalable multi-region deployments. You will build infrastructure-as-code, run CI/CD pipelines, and manage on-call rotations while partnering with engineers to ship features confidently.

You’ll leverage AI tools like Claude, document runbooks in Notion, and contribute to cost optimization and observability in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building and supporting cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or GCP.
• Deep tooling experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Vault, and CI/CD platforms.
• Strong scripting and automation skills for operational tasks and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud-based infrastructure around Docker and Kubernetes in AWS and GCP.
• Architect for a multi-tenant web app with emphasis on performance and scalability.
• Own multi-region deployment and disaster recovery with documented runbooks.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines with GitOps.
