Job summary

Byte Systems, a VTG subsidiary in Herndon, VA, seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to build and integrate CI/CD pipelines across on-prem, OpenShift, and AWS environments. You will develop and maintain Jenkins Groovy scripts, Terraform code, and automation to support containerized microservices.

This on-site role requires DoD IAT II or equivalent credentials and TS/SCI CI poly may be considered. Join a diverse team and help streamline deployments, monitoring, and tool integration in a robust DevOps

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, or Master/PhD with 7-4 years depending on degree.
Experience with Linux environments.
Scripting in Bash and Python.
Basic understanding of an object-oriented language (Java).
Experience with OpenShift or similar container environments.
DoD IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE, CISSP, etc.).
TS/SCI CI poly is required.

Responsibilities

Develop CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
Write/modify Jenkins-based Groovy scripts.
Write/update Terraform scripts.
Troubleshoot pipeline issues across on-prem, OpenShift, and AWS.
Document key features for developer use.
Integrate tools into the pipeline (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify, Jenkins, Robot Framework/Selenium, Artifactory).
Deploy container-based microservices with Helm charts.
Automate installations of COTS products into the architecture.
Monitor and script to diagnose deployment and connectivity issues.
