Job summary

Subway is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and operate CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure with Terraform, and enable AI-powered automation across our software delivery lifecycle. You will collaborate with engineering teams to ship software faster, more securely, and with greater reliability.

The role emphasizes automation-first practices, cloud experience (AWS/Azure), and runbooks for incident response.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across multiple engineering teams.
• Strong automation experience with IaC and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-powered tooling and automation within DevOps workflows.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and governance.
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Automate build, test, packaging, and deployment workflows to reduce toil.
• Monitor pipeline health and resolve bottlenecks to accelerate velocity.
• Implement security scanning, code quality, and tests within pipelines.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and Observability teams to improve platform reliability.
