Job summary

Cision is seeking an experienced Senior Staff DevOps Engineer to develop, maintain, and optimize the infrastructure, systems, and automation that support software development, deployment, and operations.

You will lead initiatives to improve CI/CD pipelines, IaC automation, and cloud reliability across development and production environments, collaborating with engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and security.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or related experience.
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps).
• Scripting or programming in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong Linux/Windows system administration and networking knowledge.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using IaC tools.
• Collaborate with development and operations to improve build, testing, release, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for reliability and performance.
• Maintain cloud-based or on-prem environments ensuring availability, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, and system issues across environments.
• Apply DevOps best practices including version control, automation, and configuration management.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge-sharing resources.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and deployment reliability.
• Take on additional duties to support business needs.
