Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - DevOps / Infrastructure (Onsite) to join our Sterling, VA team. You will lead CI/CD automation, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure improvements for simulation environments in a lab-focused, on-site setting.

The role requires strong experience with CI/CD tooling, automation frameworks, and scripting, plus knowledge of virtualization and cloud-like environments. Onsite work is required at the Sterling location.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD Pipelines.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet.
• Experience with Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop automation solutions that enable our teams to build and deploy code efficiently and consistently.
• Own the program’s CI/CD pipeline, optimizing code integration and delivery of the simulation environment.
• Use troubleshooting skills to resolve issues with build chain or CI/CD pipeline tools.
• Identify manual processes that can be automated with recommendations for strategy and improvements, prior experience with automated testing as part of a CI/CD pipeline.
• Consider the organization’s entire CI/CD infrastructure when making changes and improvements.
