Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Software Engineering professional to design and develop holistic simulation and training solutions, with on-site work in Sterling, VA. The role requires active U.S. security clearance and lab-based work environment.

Responsibilities include automating builds, owning CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing deployment for a robust simulation platform. Candidates should have a STEM degree and experience with CI/CD tools and virtualization.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
• Active U.S. government secret security clearance is required prior to start.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Coverity, Nexus, Artifactory and Splunk.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet.
• Experience with virtualization environments like VMware or Proxmox.
• Basic networking understanding (TCP/IP, VLANs) and knowledge of network devices.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop automation solutions to enable efficient code builds and deployments.
• Own and optimize the program’s CI/CD pipeline and delivery of the simulation environment.
• Troubleshoot build chain and CI/CD tools to resolve issues.
• Identify manual processes for automation and propose improvements.
• Consider the entire CI/CD infrastructure when making changes.
