Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking a Software Engineer II - DevOps / Infrastructure onsite in Sterling, VA to design and build automated CI/CD pipelines and resilient infrastructure for simulation and training solutions.

The role requires an active US security clearance and on-site work; you will collaborate across teams to deploy code efficiently, troubleshoot pipeline issues, and implement automation strategies.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Active and transferable US secret security clearance required.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Coverity, Nexus, Artifactory, and Splunk.
• Experience with automation frameworks: Ansible, Terraform, Puppet.
• Experience with virtualization: VMware or Proxmox.
• Basic networking knowledge and ability to configure network devices/virtual networks.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop automation solutions for efficient code build and deployment.
• Own and optimize the CI/CD pipeline for the simulation environment.
• Troubleshoot build chain or CI/CD pipeline issues.
• Identify manual processes and propose automation strategies.
• Consider the entire CI/CD infrastructure when implementing changes.
