Job summary

Varmoda is seeking a senior Programmer Analyst 6 to lead enterprise build, configuration, release, and version-management processes. The role focuses on implementing build automation and CI/CD capabilities supporting Bridges and MiSACWIS deployment.

The ideal candidate will oversee all release operations, administer Azure DevOps environments, optimize pipelines, and guide development teams in build automation and source-control practices. On-site in Lansing is required two days per week.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years building automation, configuration, and version-management.
• Experience evaluating and selecting build/configuration software.
• Proven track record deploying complex release software.
• Guides teams in build automation, configuration management, and version control.
• Designs and maintains automated build and deployment workflows.
• Strong knowledge of CM/SCM tools and pipelines.
• Gathers requirements and communicates with vendors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, script, and maintain automated build and release workflows.
• Administer build processes across testing and production environments.
• Deploy new releases of build/configuration-management software.
• Manage CI/CD processes to ensure reliable testing and deployment.
• Monitor pipelines, reduce execution time, and boost reliability.
• Investigate failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Provide technical guidance on build administration and release governance.
• Create process documentation for Bridges and MiSACWIS releases.
• Coordinate with vendors and engineering teams on tooling needs.
