Job summary
COOLSOFT is seeking a Programmer Analyst 6 for the State of Michigan, DTMB/DHHS, in Lansing, MI. This contract role focuses on managing and enhancing application build and release processes, with automation for CI/CD supporting testing aligned to agency goals.
You will lead build/configuration/version-management activities, advise development teams, and deploy new releases across multiple environments. On-site presence in Lansing is required.
Qualifications
- 10+ years overseeing higher-environment build automation, auditing and administration of software config/version-management.
- 10+ years researching, evaluating and recommending configuration/version-management software.
- 10+ years deploying releases of config/version-management software.
- 10+ years guiding systems development teams on project admin/management for build tools.
Responsibilities
- Manage source control, baselining, versioning, problem analysis and tracking; build automation core.
- Serve as DTMB-DHHS liaison with vendors and their technical teams.
- Advise on performance issues for systems using build automation and version-management tools.
- Deploy new releases of build/config/version-management software.
- Design and script automation workflows to support build/release operations.
- Monitor build pipeline performance to reduce times and increase reliability.
- Perform root-cause analysis on failures and implement corrective actions.
