Job summary

OpenTalent seeks a DevOps Engineer at the 4 or 5 level to design and operate a scalable AWS-based platform. You will implement IaC, manage CI/CD pipelines, and optimize cloud costs while ensuring high availability of microservices.

This role requires strong experience with Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS/ECS/Fargate), GitLab runners, and Argo CD, and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure infrastructure in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional experience; or 10 years with a related Masters degree.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Responsibilities

• Architect infrastructure using AWS technologies and services.
• Develop IaC and scripting to automate provisioning.
• Manage containerization with Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Docker.
• Analyze costs and recommend savings.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and Argo CD.
• Coordinate sprint tasks and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure high availability and performance.
