Erias Ventures in Fort Meade, MD is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, and automation to deploy and manage scalable infrastructure.

You will automate deployment processes, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable services for mission-critical projects. This role requires strong Linux skills, scripting in Python or Bash, and a proactive approach to

Qualifications

• Nine or more years of DevOps engineering or software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda).
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go and Git/Flux tooling.

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Support development and deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure of on-premise and portable equipment.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues as necessary.
• Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure.
• Seamlessly transition between hands-on execution and team guidance, treating mentorship and team leadership as inherent components of senior-level impact.
