Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to secure and operate our cloud infrastructure, emphasizing security controls across AWS, IAM, and deployment tooling. You will work with CISO-defined policies to implement automated security validation and continuous monitoring.

In this role you will automate deployments, monitor costs, and collaborate with security and engineering teams to ensure secure, scalable infrastructure for flight-line operations and SAI deployments.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–7 years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infra roles.
• AWS infrastructure experience (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch).
• Linux system administration experience.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash).
• Experience with deployment automation and reproducible builds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, including cost analysis and optimization.
• Manage and execute production deployments using internal deployment tooling.
• Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Integrate security validation steps into deployment workflows with SAST/DAST/SCA tooling.
• Configure IAM, secrets management, and endpoint security per policy.
• Deploy and maintain cloud-native security tooling for ongoing hardening.
• Collaborate on threat modeling and risk assessments across lifecycle.
• Document and implement FISMA and FedRAMP controls as directed.
• Support SAI deployments and FlightLine operations with infrastructure needs.
