Job summary

Supernova Technology, based in Chicago, is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to strengthen our AWS-based infrastructure and improve system reliability. This hands-on role focuses on scalable, secure operations and long-term infrastructure design.

You will design and maintain infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and disaster recovery plans, collaborating with software and IT teams across distributed offices to ensure smooth, high-availability operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong hands-on AWS proficiency.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, CDK, Troposphere) or similar.
• Solid IT operations, platform services, and reliability practices.
• Experience with ECS, Lambda, Docker, GitHub Actions/workflows, and Python or Java.
• Experience coordinating across distributed/international offices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure systems including AWS and data centers.
• Improve reliability and scalability of software delivery pipelines and DR systems.
• Collaborate with development and operations to support migrations and monitoring.
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime.
• Share knowledge and best practices across the engineering team.
