Job summary

Nityo seeks an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure reliability and deployment automation in San Jose, CA. You will manage AWS core services, Kubernetes clusters, and robust CI/CD pipelines, while enforcing security and DR strategies in high-traffic environments.

Responsibilities include building IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation, scripting in Bash/Python, and collaborating with software teams to optimize delivery and costs.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of professional DevOps, cloud engineering, or SRE experience.
• Strong AWS cloud experience across core services (EC2, EKS/ECS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Route53).
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes/EKS cluster management, deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Docker and containerization expertise.
• Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong Linux system administration skills, with Bash and/or Python scripting.
• Mandatory eligibility to work in the United States, with local San Jose candidates preferred for F2F interviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage, and optimize scalable AWS cloud environments (EC2, EKS/ECS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Route53).
• Administer Kubernetes and EKS clusters, ensuring seamless deployment, scaling, pod lifecycle management, and cluster troubleshooting.
• Build, containerize, and manage microservices architectures using Docker and container registries.
• Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Write clean, reusable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Administer Linux operating systems, develop automation scripts in Bash or Python for routine admin and monitoring.
• Configure enterprise monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, Splunk).
• Ensure cloud security, network compliance, and DevSecOps best practices across assets.
• Support production environments with high availability, DR readiness, and robust backup execution.
