Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking an experienced DevOps Architect/Engineer to advise, design, and manage deployment orchestration for complex Salesforce implementations.

You will collaborate with Delivery Managers, Technical Architects, and client teams to architect DevOps solutions that meet customer needs while balancing enterprise constraints. This hands-on role combines architecture with deployment execution, requiring deep expertise in Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD, and automation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Salesforce platform experience (Senior DevOps Engineer) or 10+ years of CRM experience with at least 8 years on the Salesforce platform, focused on DevOps, release management, and CI/CD.
• Expert knowledge of Salesforce product suites including Sales, Service, Experience, Industries (Vlocity), and Data Cloud.
• Strong understanding of environment management, release management, version control best practices, and deployment methodologies.
• Understanding of branching strategies (Git Flow, Trunk-based development, Feature branching).
• Salesforce Development Lifecycle – Metadata API, SFDX, Salesforce CLI, Apex, SOQL, LWC.
• Salesforce Release & Deployment Strategies – Sandbox management, source-driven development, Change Sets, Unlocked & Managed Packages.
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Copado, Flosum, Gearset, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI.
• Experience with Version Control Systems – Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, Azure Repos.
• Experience with Docker image building, orchestration, and pipelines, and security integration into CI/CD.
• Experience with test automation (Provar, Copado Robotic Testing, TOSCA, TestNG, Selenium, WebDriver, JUnit, JMeter, ApexUnit).
• Experience with code quality/security tools (SonarQube, Checkmarx, PMD).
• Understanding of performance monitoring tools (Salesforce Event Monitoring, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
• Strong client-facing communication skills; ability to lead small/medium projects or support Architects on large-scale programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Salesforce certifications (active or ability to obtain upon hire)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, and manage expectations.
• Assess existing DevOps processes, tools, and practices, recommending improvements.
• Design, present, and implement best-fit DevOps solutions, considering customer needs, tool preferences, and commercial constraints.
• Drive the selection and implementation of DevOps tools and technologies.
• Lead DevOps design sessions, architect solutions, and document best practices (Architect level); lead setup and execution of DevOps frameworks for small-to-medium projects and support Architects on larger engagements (Senior Engineer level).
• Develop and enforce DevOps frameworks and governance models for consistency across deployments.
• Provide oversight and governance of Salesforce projects.
• Ensure successful continuous delivery deployments across environments.
• Support pre-sales activities, including discovery sessions, technical deep dives, and PoC development.
• Collaborate with Salesforce product teams to support client implementations.
• Champion an AI-first development/DevOps workflow using AI tools to accelerate Salesforce development, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, while maintaining security and governance.
