OpenGov is modernizing how governments operate. As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will own the design and delivery of cloud systems, CI/CD pipelines, and security architecture for a multi-tenant SaaS platform serving thousands of public sector customers.

This high-ownership role blends deep technical execution with cross-functional influence, building AI-forward infrastructure that shapes government services delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering with a focus on cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and platform engineering.
• 3+ years running Kubernetes at scale in production on public clouds (Azure preferred).
• Proven track record with AWS/Azure/GCP for SaaS infra.
• Experience with IaC tools in production.
• Strong CI/CD tooling knowledge and modern delivery practices.
• Cloud security practices: encryption, RBAC, IAM, network security.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own multi-tenant Azure and AWS infrastructure for high availability and DR.
• Lead IaC strategy across environments for repeatability and auditability.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable delivery.
• Drive cloud cost optimization and performance engineering.
• Own cloud security posture and work with compliance teams on SOC2/StateRamp.
• Establish observability with Grafana, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor.
• Lead incident response and post-mortem processes for systemic improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote operational excellence.
