Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to enhance the Government Cloud's availability and security. You will work with Systems, SRE, and DevOps teams to automate governance, improve AI-backed development, and ensure reliable, scalable infrastructure.

You will lead design, deployment, and post-release support for tools used by internal teams serving government customers, with emphasis on cloud-native patterns, security compliance, and proactive troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in AWS environments and infra optimization.
• 3+ years deploying containerized apps with Docker and orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE).
• 3+ years IaC/config management with Terraform/Ansible.
• 3+ years Linux system engineering experience.
• 2+ years security for highly sensitive data (IAM, CI/CD, PKI).
• 3+ years CI orchestration (Spinnaker/Jenkins).
• 2+ years scripting (Shell, Python, Go).
• Experience with Splunk/ELK for logs.
• AI-first engineering approach in development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Solve infrastructure problems with reusable code and scale Kubernetes deployments.
• Collaborate on automated CI/CD pipelines to maintain feature velocity in Production.
• Build production-grade software using modern engineering practices with AI at core.
• Design complex systems where AI agents integrate into human workflows.
• Maintain system context repository with designs, constraints, standards for AI reliability.
• Critically evaluate code (human or AI) for quality, security, performance.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for project progress.
• Understand large-scale production infra across third-party clouds.
• Automate governance for human-heavy processes.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation.
• Collaborate with diverse Infrastructure teams and engineers.
• Research and adopt the right tools, or build new ones.
