Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a 6+ month contract in Irving, TX on a hybrid basis. You will design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure, and own CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, and monitoring.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, implement IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and drive automation and reliability across deployments. Strong Linux knowledge and Agile experience are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cloud, DevOps, or related engineering.
• Proficient with cloud platforms, microservices, CI/CD, containerization and DevOps.
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, EKS, ECS, Fargate) and IaC tools.
• Strong Linux system administration knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Agile/Scrum experience and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Immediate need for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Irving, TX(Hybrid).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure and backend applications across AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud environments.
• Build and maintain cloud-native applications and digital platforms using modern DevOps practices.
• Automate operations and streamline processes for faster, more reliable software deployments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and technical teams to provide assistance and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
• Manage and build CI/CD pipelines and tools, working closely with development, QA, and other teams.
• Develop a deep understanding of AWS cloud services and architecture.
• Build and maintain tools for deployment, security, patching, vulnerability management, and change management.
• Implement and manage containerized workloads and Kubernetes platforms.
• Experiment with RCA, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, ELK Stack, and related technologies.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and operational excellence.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in cloud computing, DevOps, or related engineering disciplines.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, microservices architecture, CI/CD solutions, containerization, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in AWS services, including Lambda, EKS, ECS, Fargate, and other AWS cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Understanding of building scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with database management and cloud-based data services.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Java.
• Good knowledge of Git repositories and versioning strategies.
• Strong understanding of system administration and Linux environments.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Cloud Practitioner / GCP / Azure certification.
