KellyMitchell Group is seeking a Senior DevOps Developer for a contract role on our Digital DevSecOps team in Irving, TX. The role covers cloud applications across AWS, GCP, and Azure and is fully onsite, five days a week.

You will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure, containerized applications with Docker (ECS/EKS/Fargate), and CI/CD pipelines, while using Terraform/Ansible. Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, QA, and other stakeholders for reliable

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cloud computing, cloud architecture, DevOps, and automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, CloudWatch).
• Experience developing and supporting cloud-native apps and high-volume retail/eC commerce transactions.
• Terraform or IaC tooling with Ansible or similar tools.
• Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern software practices.
• Programming experience in Python/Node.js/Java with related testing/tools.

Job Summary

Our client, a leading retail and eCommerce provider, is seeking a Senior DevOps Developer to join their Digital DevSecOps team. This is a contract opportunity, supporting digital applications across AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud environments.

Contract Details

• Contract Work Location: Irving, TX
• Work Arrangement: Fully onsite, 5 days per week

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure and backend applications across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments
• Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker, including AWS ECS, EKS, and Fargate environments
• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Terraform, Ansible, and other Infrastructure as Code tools
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, DevOps Engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement timely and reliable solutions
• Participate in architecture and design reviews, code reviews, technical mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• 7+ years of experience in cloud computing, cloud architecture, DevOps, and automation
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and CloudWatch
• Experience developing and supporting cloud-native applications and high-volume retail or eCommerce transaction systems
• Strong knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code, along with Ansible or other configuration management tools
• Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern software development practices
• Development experience using Python, Node.js, or Java, with knowledge of tools such as JUnit, Mockito, SonarQube, Maven, Gradle, or Jenkins
• Strong Linux/system administration, database management, troubleshooting, and cloud infrastructure skills

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience with mobile application CI/CD, including Firebase distribution and AWS Device Farm
• Experience using AI tools and configuring AI agents to support DevOps activities
• Experience working with GCP and Azure cloud platforms
• Experience with application performance monitoring using New Relic AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud certifications
• Experience in omnichannel commerce, convenience retail, digital commerce platforms, or order management systems
• Experience with inventory management, pricing and promotions, or customer loyalty platforms

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $38.00 and $55.00 an hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
