Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is actively seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for a 6+ months contract position in McLean, VA. The role onsite requires building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, and managing cloud infrastructure with AWS.

Strong scripting and IaC skills are essential. Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years in DevOps or related fields, with hands-on experience with Java/JVM ecosystems and containerization.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, software development, or related roles.
• Working knowledge of Java and the JVM ecosystem (Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle).
• Experience with at least one CI/CD tool (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and basic Kubernetes concepts.
• Exposure to at least one cloud platform (AWS).
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Groovy).
• Understanding of version control (Git) and branching strategies.

This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in McLean, VA (Onsite).
