Job summary

Ascensus, a leading tech and service platform for savings plans, seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to provide technical leadership across DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering. You will set standards, guide multiple teams, and drive automation and security into pipelines.

You will champion DevOps culture, improve platform reliability, and mentor engineers while aligning solutions with business strategy. Strong leadership and hands-on expertise required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or engineering operations roles.
• Experience designing and supporting DevOps architectures in enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, and release management experience.
• Hands-on Linux and Windows deployment and troubleshooting.
• Advanced automation using PowerShell or Python.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Deep Docker and Kubernetes expertise; IaC with Terraform.
• Config management with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of microservices, cloud-native architectures, networking, and security.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and observability concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural oversight and technical direction for DevOps across scrum teams.
• Lead design and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.
• Define standards for build, deployment, IaC, and environment management.
• Drive containerization and cloud-native platform adoption with Kubernetes.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and incident response; Level-3 production support.
• Mentor engineers and promote automation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Research and adopt cost-effective improvements to speed, quality, and reliability.
