Job summary
Ascensus, a leading technology and service platform powering savings plans across America, seeks a Principal Software Engineer to join a high-energy Scrum team. You will lead technical delivery, shape architecture, review code, and mentor others while championing automation, CI/CD, and quality.
You will collaborate with Product Owner, drive architectural decisions, perform design reviews, and guide teammates through complex problems.
Qualifications
- Strong technical leadership and architectural guidance within an agile team.
- Experience mentoring developers and coaching for growth.
- Expertise in OO design, patterns, SOLID principles and data structures.
Responsibilities
- Analyze software requirements and plan during agile lifecycle.
- Modify codebase following standards, tests, and CI/CD.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and determine root cause.
- Collaborate in Scrum ceremonies, pair programming, code reviews.
- Align with Product Owner on roadmaps and technical delivery.
- Lead or assist in technical research and architecture discussions.
- Mentor peers and model engineering excellence during production issues.
