Job summary

Ascensus, a leading technology and service platform powering savings plans across America, is hiring a Software Engineer. You will join a fast-paced Scrum team delivering maintainable, secure software with a focus on automation and best practices.

We expect 3+ years of software development experience using C#, Java, and JavaScript, with strong OO design and RESTful services. You will participate in design discussions and contribute to a robust CI/CD pipeline.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience in business environments.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages (C#, Java) and strong knowledge of object-oriented design.
• Experience with RESTful services, SOA, and modern web technologies.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, unit testing, and automated build/deploy pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile engineering practices and collaborating with QE, Ops and support.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, implement, test, document and maintain software applications with minimal oversight.
• Protect and manage confidential data following security policies.
• Assist in estimating and planning across the software development life cycle.
• Support process improvements and contribute to deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver quality software.
