Job summary

Sierra Space is hiring a Sr Software Engineer to build and secure DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines in on-prem and cloud environments. You will design CI/CD, maintain Kubernetes deployments, and implement secure IaC with Terraform or Ansible, while embedding security across the development lifecycle.

The role requires strong containerization, GitOps, and monitoring expertise, plus the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance and work in air-gapped contexts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related professional experience.
• Ability to design, code, test, and debug complex software development environments.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and mentoring skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines including Kubernetes deployments.
• Architect and manage secure IaC using Terraform or Ansible.
• Implement observability with monitoring and logging stacks (ELK/Prometheus/Grafana).
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure, reproducible software delivery.
