Job summary

RealTime eClinical Solutions is seeking a Principal DevOps Architect to lead the cloud platform for multi-tenant clinical-trial services in a remote-capable US role. You will write Terraform, build pipelines, and ensure HIPAA and SOC 2 Type 2 readiness while guiding AI tooling development.

The role demands strong architectural influence across teams, hands-on capability with IaC, CI/CD, and observability, plus vendor evaluation and strategic roadmap ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in SRE/DevOps/platform engineering.
• Proven architectural influence across teams without direct management.
• Experience with IaC, CI/CD adoption across multiple teams.
• Experience in HIPAA/HITRUST/PHI/PCI DSS environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own platform architecture and technical roadmap for infrastructure, deployment, observability, and the AI platform.
• Set standards for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and AI tooling, driving adoption via reference implementations.
• Hands-on authority and mentor to engineers across teams, leading by example.
• Drive move to infrastructure as code and AI tooling, with vetted AI tool governance.
• Evaluate vendors and make build/buy decisions; final decisions owned by VP/CTO.
