Job summary

The Acceleration Project (TAP) seeks a strategic, results-driven Senior Development Manager to lead the growth of our national fundraising program. You will own and cultivate a portfolio of funders, with direct accountability for shaping TAP's fundraising strategy and driving grant opportunities.

This is a full-time, remote-first role based in the United States, with preference for candidates near the New York City metro area for in-person meetings.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of nonprofit fundraising, development, or grant writing.
• Strong writing skills to translate program information into funder-ready narratives.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Independent, self-directed work style in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM.
• Experience in community development or economic equity preferred.
• Passion for TAP's mission.

Responsibilities

• Funder Relationships & Stewardship: manage portfolio, deadlines, renewal strategy; expand portfolio over time.
• Grant Writing, Research & Reporting: write letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports; identify new prospects.
• Maintain national prospect pipeline and grant calendar; track deadlines and status.
• Manage grant reporting deadlines with timely deliverables.
• Develop library of boilerplate content and impact data for proposals.
• Monitor fundraising trends and opportunities in economic development.
