Job summary

Rolls‑Royce in Aiken, SC seeks a Senior Manager in Development Engineering to lead engineering staff in combustion engine testing and calibration. The role directs projects, manages timelines and budgets, and collaborates with global capability leads at Friedrichshafen and local site managers.

Requires a mechanical engineering degree and 5 years leading engineering teams in combustion engine development; 9+ years acceptable. Master’s degree preferred; relocation aid provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5 years of experience leading engineering teams in combustion engine development (testing & calibration).
• Master's degree preferred; 10+ years of experience in engine development and calibration.
• Excellent knowledge of engineering science applications, diesel engine design/production.

Responsibilities

• Direct, manage, and evaluate development engineering activities related to combustion engine testing and calibration.
• Coordinate with TTC capability leads in Friedrichshafen and site managers at Aiken.
• Recruit, develop, and evaluate engineering staff; set goals and ensure training.
