Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Aiken, SC, is seeking an MRO Engineer to develop and maintain MRO specifications for engines and components. You will work with Manufacturing Engineering, MRO Bases, Workshops, Service Operations, Planning & Purchasing, Design teams, and other stakeholders to support remanufacturing and overhaul activities.

The role requires a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering degree and 3+ years' experience with internal combustion engines, plus willingness to travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience with internal combustion engines (design/manufacture/assembly/testing).
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; sponsorship or visa transfer is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain MRO specifications for components and engines.
  • Define repair process requirements and ensure network compliance.
  • Align maintenance data with regulatory standards and customer commitments.
  • Support FAI/LAI and approve repair suppliers via GP EP3.2.4.
  • Analyze service deterioration to inform product maturity and lifecycle cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support remanufacturing and overhaul workshops.
  • Ensure technical solutions meet requirements and restore service-run components to full function.
  • Support new repair and overhaul capability approvals.
