The Nature Conservancy seeks a Senior Associate Director of Development to lead donor strategies and cultivate relationships with corporate, foundation, and individual donors. You’ll manage a portfolio in the Chicagoland area, coordinating with the Worldwide Office to secure multi-year gifts and bequests.

You’ll build proposals, discuss asset gifts, and guide teams through complex negotiations to advance funding for priority programs.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience or equivalent.
• Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with fundraising constituents.
• Experience in asking for and closing gifts of $50,000 or more.
• Experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a large nonprofit.
• Knowledge of fundraising principles, capital campaigns, planned giving.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a portfolio of 60–100 donors with high giving capacity.
• Develop donor strategies and coordinate major gift proposals.
• Collaborate with field and Worldwide Office to align fundraising goals.
• Prepare budgets and proposals; engage volunteers and networks as needed.
• Travel as required; present and negotiate complex agreements.
