Job summary

YWCA South Florida is seeking a Senior Director of Development to lead nonprofit fundraising efforts and energize a community of supporters. This role reports to the CEO and drives strategies to increase annual revenue across donor sources.

The successful candidate will design and execute a comprehensive fund development plan, oversee major gifts and foundation grants, and supervise the Development Department to achieve ambitious goals. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Business Administration, Communications, Public Affairs, Public Administration, or related field; 4–6 years nonprofit fundraising experience preferred.
• Must have fundraising experience and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees engagement strategy to align relationships with the mission and partnerships.
• Develops a comprehensive fund development plan including donor acquisition, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Leads major donor cultivation, grant solicitations, corporate giving, endowment and capital campaigns.
• Plans and executes fund development events, activations, and campaigns.
• Supervises Development Department staff, budgets, and reporting.
