Job summary

CRG, a privately held real estate development and investment firm, is seeking a Senior Director of Development to lead the full lifecycle of development projects—from underwriting to pre-construction—and to coordinate with Vice President, consultants, and vendors.

You will draft Investment Committee memos, manage budgets, oversee due diligence, review title and survey reports, and ensure schedules and compliance with development standards.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of real estate development experience.
• Experience with title and survey review, zoning, and development feasibility.
• Vendor management and coordinating scopes of work, quotes, and deliverables.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and consultant teams.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel and project management/tracking tools.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to manage development at various stages.

Responsibilities

• Draft Investment Committee memos translating deal economics, market data, and diligence findings into materials for senior leadership.
• Maintain and update budget and job cost trackers, flag variances and keep data current for review.
• Support budget creation by gathering bids, validating assumptions, and tracking revisions.
• Assist with investment materials, approval packages, and presentations to senior leadership.
• Own due diligence coordination end-to-end with vendors and consultants; coordinate scopes of work.
• Review diligence reports (title, survey, environmental, geotechnical, zoning, utilities) and drive issue resolution.
• Review title commitments, exception documents, easements, and ALTA surveys; propose mitigations.
• Organize diligence files and maintain timelines for reference.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, designers, and contractors to validate feasibility.
• Prepare status reports and elevate blockers promptly.
