Job summary

CRG, part of Clayco, seeks a Senior Director of Development to oversee the full lifecycle of development projects—from underwriting and Investment Committee approval to due diligence, budgeting, and pre-construction. The role ensures disciplined deal execution and serves as the primary liaison between the VP, consultants, and vendors.

You will draft memos, maintain budgets, validate bids, and support investment materials while coordinating cross-functional teams across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in real estate development, due diligence, or related fields.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel, project management/tracking tools, and reading technical plans.

Responsibilities

• Own due diligence coordination end-to-end: reach out to vendors and consultants, solicit and compare quotes, and coordinate scopes of work.
• Review diligence reports (title, survey, environmental, geotechnical, zoning, utilities) and drive resolution.
• Create and maintain project trackers and pipeline management tools for leadership visibility.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, designers, and contractors to validate feasibility and alignment.
• Track project schedules and prepare status reports; escalate blockers promptly.
