Job summary

Center For Employment Opportunities, Inc. (CEO) seeks a Senior Associate, Development to co-lead complex revenue opportunities, partner with senior leaders, and mentor the Development team. The role focuses on securing foundation, corporate, government, and individual support across regional and national scopes.

You will collaborate with leadership to plan strategy, manage grant timelines, and ensure timely, data-driven reporting while advancing CEO’s mission of reentry employment impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional fundraising and grant writing experience.
• 1–2 years of direct grant writing and revenue generation with a proven funding track record.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects across geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven track record partnering with executive leaders, board members, or senior program directors on high-stakes funding.
• Experience delivering presentations, pitches, or strategic briefings to institutional funders and individual donors.
• Foundational project leadership, cross-team facilitation, and staff mentorship across distributed teams.
• Excellent written and verbal storytelling to articulate workforce development data into compelling cases for support.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent proposal deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Rigorous attention to grant guidelines, budgets, and qualitative/quantitative reporting.
• Google Workspace and Salesforce CRM/donor management platforms proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, assembles, and submits responses to foundation, corporate, and government RFPs, concept papers, and LOIs.
• Coordinates the assembly and submission of data-driven grant reports for funders and donors.
• Researches prospective funders, develops strategy memos, and supports program/funding priority analyses.
• Coordinates site visits with funders; drafts strategic briefing memos and follow-up correspondence.
• Partners with Program, Investment, Finance, and Grants to ensure on-time submissions and grant compliance.
• Tracks cultivation, solicitations, and milestones for regional or national portfolios in Salesforce.
• Regional focus: design regional revenue and funder cultivation strategies; National focus: contribute to national funding strategies.
• Leads high-stakes revenue opportunities, including federal/public grants and major donor campaigns.
• Prepares strategy memos, concept decks, and tailored presentations for grantmakers and stakeholders.
• Provides guidance and onboarding support to Development Associates; co-leads skill-building sessions.
• Leads portfolio reviews and revenue pipeline calls; ensures data integrity in Salesforce.
• Other duties as assigned.
