Job summary

Referment is recruiting a Senior Desktop/Workplace Engineer for its New York office to support portfolio managers, traders and senior leaders in a fast-paced hedge fund environment.

You will be the on-site escalation point, owning complex issues spanning Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, AD/Entra ID, Intune, JAMF and trading apps, while coordinating with the MSP to keep service levels high and incident response swift.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in desktop/workplace or systems engineering, including Tier 3 or senior escalation.
• Experience operating in an MSP environment with SLA management.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows and macOS in an enterprise setting.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Proven ability to coordinate vendors, MSPs and internal teams to resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technology escalation point for the New York office.
• Provide expert support to portfolio managers, analysts, traders and senior corporate users.
• Resolve complex issues spanning endpoints, applications, identity, connectivity and workplace technology.
• Oversee the MSP’s day-to-day delivery and ensure issues are handled to standard.
• Step in directly on particularly complex, urgent or business-critical incidents.
• Coordinate across vendors, MSP and internal teams until root cause is resolved.
• Work with Network, Security and Cloud Platform engineers on root-cause analysis and improvements.
• Improve onboarding, device management and hardware lifecycle processes.
