Job summary

Referment's client, a world-class hedge fund, seeks a Desktop and Workplace Engineer for its New York office. A senior, highly visible role supporting portfolio managers, analysts, traders and executives, with on-site escalation ownership.

You will oversee endpoints, identity, connectivity and productivity platforms, coordinate the MSP, and drive permanent improvements. The role demands strong problem solving under pressure and clear communication with front-office users.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in desktop/workplace or end-user engineering.
• Experience at Tier 3 or senior escalation level.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technology escalation point for the New York office.
• Provide expert support to front-office users including PMs, analysts and traders.
• Resolve complex issues across endpoints, applications, identity, connectivity and workplace tech.
• Oversee the MSP’s day-to-day delivery and ensure issues meet standards.
• Step in on incidents that are complex, urgent or business-critical.
• Coordinate with vendors, MSP and internal teams to reach full resolution.
• Drive root-cause analysis with Network, Security and Cloud Engineers.
