Job summary

Referment is seeking a Senior Desktop/Workplace Engineer for its New York office. You will be the highest-level on-site escalation point, supporting portfolio managers, analysts, traders and executives in a fast-paced investment environment.

You will troubleshoot across Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, VPN and endpoint management tools, while coordinating with the MSP and internal teams to deliver durable, business-critical fixes.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in desktop/workplace or end-user engineering with senior escalation experience.
• Experience supporting front-office users in a hedge fund or financial environment is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise Windows/macOS endpoints and Microsoft 365 environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technology escalation point for the New York office.
• Provide expert support to portfolio managers, analysts, traders and senior corporate users.
• Resolve complex issues spanning endpoints, applications, identity, connectivity and workplace technology.
• Oversee the MSP's day-to-day delivery and ensure issues meet standards.
• Coordinate vendors, MSP and internal teams to drive problem resolution.
