Job summary

NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Desktop Technician to support 2,000+ employees across 10 locations. The role focuses on desktop service delivery, software configuration, and collaboration with the FIT division to ensure secure, efficient IT operations.

Responsibilities include enterprise OS deployments, conference support, WS0/WsO compliance, and performance monitoring. Remote work up to 2 days per week may be available under City pilot programs.

Qualifications

Professional/vendor certification(s) in LAN/WAN administration.
At least one of the listed education/experience combinations must be met.
Experience in desktop support and IT security is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide desktop user support to executives and staff with OS installation and configuration.
Set up video conferences and on-site support for events.
Coordinate with vendors on large moves and deployments.
Maintain logs of system updates and performance metrics.
Assist in creating training materials for troubleshooting.
