Job summary

Tyto Athene, LLC is seeking a Desktop Support Level II Technician to join our team at Grissom AFRB in Indiana on a complex, multi-year contract to support the Air Force Reserve Command IT services.

You will provide end-user PC and hardware support, perform installations, diagnostics, upgrades, and preventive maintenance, and collaborate with network services to restore service. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving and communication skills and can deliver in-person and remote IT aid.

Qualifications

• Experience managing network modernization projects.
• Experience as a desktop support technician or equivalent.
• Ability to deliver in-person and remote IT aid.
• Strong installation, diagnostic, upgrade, and restoration skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Patient, flexible, and supportive.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware.
• Configure, install, diagnose, upgrade, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on PCs.
• Interact with network services to restore service and identify problems.
• Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve issues.
• Recommend system changes to reduce user problems.
• Maintain currency and high skill in the field.
