Job summary

Apollo Solutions is looking for a Senior Desktop Engineer to design, implement, and support a modern digital workplace. You will engineer and optimize VDI/AVD environments, manage Intune and Autopilot, and strengthen identity and security across the enterprise.

Key focus areas include automation with PowerShell and Power Automate, and driving adoption of Copilot and AI workplace tools in a hybrid Boston environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Desktop/Endpoint/EUC/Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and enterprise VDI technologies.
• Experience with Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Windows Autopilot.
• Deep understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD), AD, CA, MFA, and identity management.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Automation with Power Automate.
• Endpoint security, patching, baselines, and device lifecycle management.
• Troubleshooting across endpoint, identity, cloud, and VDI.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy, maintain, and optimize VDI/AVD environments.
• Design and support VDI infra: image, apps, profiles, performance.
• Maintain Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Autopilot.
• Administer Entra ID/AD, CA, MFA, identity lifecycle processes.
• Design endpoint security and device management policies.
• Develop PowerShell automation for ops efficiency.
• Build Power Automate and Graph workflows.
• Support Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive.
• Drive adoption of Copilot and AI workplace tools.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across VDI, M365, identity, networking.
• Collaborate with Infra, Security, Apps for modernization.
• Improve through automation, monitoring, remediation.
• Create technical docs and procedures.
