J.Crew Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Designer to manage design execution for seasonal product ranges. You will lead creative development, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure design integrity from concept to proto. Travel for trade shows and research is required.

The role emphasizes strong illustration, pattern/fit knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior designers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a hybrid work model.

Qualificações

• 6-8 years design experience.
• 1-3+ years people management experience.
• Working knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and pattern/fit.
• Knowledge of fabric/yarn construction.
• Demonstrated ability to research and apply market/fashion trend information.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and unify creative execution of product.
• Manage creative and technical development of product within merchandise assortment strategy.
• Research seasonal trends, themes, color, raw materials, and styling.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity.
• Conduct fittings.
• Create design cards for first protos, including measurements and construction details.
• Develop and counter source yarn/fabric and trim with production and suppliers.
• Approval of lab dips and fabric/yarn submits.
• Overseas travel for trade exhibitions, design research, and to supervise product development.
• Manage and develop junior designers.
