Zusammenfassung

J.Crew Factory is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to drive the technical strategy for Women’s Knits/Sweaters. You will own the development process end-to-end, set quality standards, and lead cross-functional teams to translate design intent into manufacturable, cost-effective solutions.

You will oversee fit sessions, mentor junior designers, and collaborate across Design, Production, and Merchandising to ensure timely delivery and high-quality product across multiple styles.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of experience as a technical designer leading technical development for a major category.
• Advanced proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and PLM systems.
• Expert knowledge of yarns, gauges, stitch formations, and knit construction.
• Ability to manage full seasonal calendars across multiple styles and categories.
• Strong garment construction, patternmaking, grading, draping, and technical sketching skills.
• Experience mentoring junior designers and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Aufgaben

• Own technical strategy and development for Women’s Knits/Sweaters from concept through bulk production.
• Set construction and quality standards to reduce fit iterations and cycle time.
• Lead live model fit sessions and direct corrective actions on the development calendar.
• Maintain technical packages, records, and standards; coach vendors and factory partners.
• Collaborate with Design, Production, and Merchandising to translate design intent into manufacturable solutions.
• Mentor junior designers and help build team skills in grading, fit, and construction.
