Job summary

J.Crew Factory seeks a junior designer to collaborate with Design Directors on concept development for seasonal collections. You will assist in color story selection, fabric and trim choices, and create visual presentations that showcase your ideas.

Ideal candidates bring an apparel design degree, strong illustration skills, and comfort presenting concepts to cross-functional teams. This role supports hybrid work with a focus on collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years design experience required.
• Apparel Design degree.
• Strong illustration skills and color sense.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design Directors to develop concepts, color stories, fabrics, prints, trims, and graphics.
• Prepare presentation boards with illustrations, CAD artwork, fabrication, and garment samples.
• Research seasonal trends, themes, colors, and materials; assist styling and trims.
• Create specs with Technical Design from concept to design cards.
• Coordinate with Production to maintain design concept through production.
