Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. is seeking a Senior Designer I to lead discipline design delivery, develop concepts, and coordinate across teams. You will mentor designers and EITs while upholding standards, schedules, and budgets from kickoff to closeout.

In this role, you will coordinate with owners, architects, and other disciplines, review drawings, and support project management tasks on select projects, ensuring high-quality design documentation and timely delivery.

Qualifikationen

• Two-year technical degree and/or substantial equivalent experience.
• Three years of large-scope project experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret plans from multiple disciplines (architectural, structural, civil, piping, electrical, mechanical).

Aufgaben

• Convert drawings from architects into usable design models; set up project models and keep them current.
• Create electronic drawings with accuracy using industry software; develop designs with project engineer.
• Implement design requirements, perform system design sizing, assist with studies and equipment selection.
• Anticipate conflicts and propose solutions and communicate with team and project engineer.
• Review shop drawings, record changes, and keep disciplines informed of details and schedules.
